Expedition Central Vietnam HIGHLIGHT ( 10 Days / 9 Nights /1820 km)

Join us on an epic 10-day journey across central Vietnam as we take the road less travelled through ancient cities. Leaving from the UNESCO world heritage town of Hoi An, you will definitely have great memories to take back with you. Ride thru the breathtaking Hai Van Pass with its incredible views over Da Nang while taking in the refreshing breeze of the coasts, visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels, where an entire village went underground to escape the American bombings.

Cross the former border between North and South. Explore the Phong Nha Cave and its distinguished magical beauty. Then onto the Ho Chi Minh Highway _ which traces the famous Ho Chi Minh trail used by the Viet Cong. After that a stop off in the mountain town of Khe Sanh.  We then take a tranquil road through and experience the quietness of the lush rainforests. Vietnam has some hidden history and culture, waiting for adventurers to experience them. Treat yourself to a colorful fusion of sights and stories that will leave you wanting more.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Hoi An – Hue 190km

First stop is at the Cham tower 11th century building before visiting historic American war sites in the area. -We will then ride on countryside roads, crossing the "bamboo bridge" to see the rice straw "mushroom farm", see local farmers working in their fields. After this we will enjoy some strong Vietnamese coffee to give you a kickstart on short break.

(Option2:  stop visit the Marble Mountain, where you can see the amazing caves, We will then take you along the My Khe beach which has been voted as the most beautiful beach on the planet).

We will then head to Hai Van pass, here we will have time to take pictures and enjoy the natural surroundings before going down to Lang Co for Lunch. After lunch, we follow the coastline to Hue, riding through little villages and along the beach to stop often to dip our toes in the sea, chat with fishermen and to take photos. Before we reach Hue we visit the famous “City of Ghosts”, where the dead live in style, and stop at the Fishing village at the Tam Giang lagoon, before arriving in Hue.

Day 2: Hue City tour – Cua Tung Beach / 120km

In the morning we will visit the imperial city of Hue, walk on the wall to admire the view of the royal palace and the Perfume River. Next stop will be visit the Huong village, where you can experience making incense sticks in the traditional way and making conical hats. 

Continue our to King Tu Duc Tomb, which is known as one of the most beautiful and picturesque works of architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. The Tomb is 12 Hectar and took 3 years with 3.000 workers to finish. Then we will leave Hue on local ferry crossing the Tam Giang Lagoon, follow small roads through the countryside, crossing the ''floating bridge" then onto the Hien Luong bridge: known as the "Peace Bridge", a beam bridge built from steel by the French in 1950 which marks the border between North and South Vietnam before Here and Ben Hai river: an important landmark in the partition of the country into a northern and a southern zone along the 17th parallel by the Geneva Accords of 1954.

We will then arrive at the Vinh Moc Tunnels, where an entire village went underground in 1960 to survive the bombing. The complex of tunnels, located deep in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, include wells, kitchens and rooms for each family. After exploring the Vinh Moc tunnels we will pass through the tunnel that leads us to the local beach here.


Day 3: Cua Tung Beach / Vinh Moc tunnel - Phong Nha Cave 120km

Ride along the HCM highway east to the Phong Nha National Park with a day free to explore caves, including Asia's longest limestone cave.

The karst formation of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has evolved since the Paleozoic (some 400 million years ago) and so is the oldest major karst area in Asia. Subject to massive tectonic changes, the park’s karst landscape is extremely complex with many geographic features of considerable significance.

The vast area, extending to the border of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, contains spectacular formations including 65 km of caves and underground rivers and enjoy traditional Vietnamese lunch at the local restaurant.

Day 4: Phong Nha – Khe Sanh / 240km


Driving along HCM highway western, we have a beautiful day to see many majestic limestone karst and spectacular old-growth jungle. This road follows the original HCM Trail through some of the most rugged terrain before going to Khe Sanh.


Day 5: Khe Sanh – Prao 240km

Leaving Khe Sanh we come to the houses-on-stilts belonging to the ethnic minorities on the roads to Prao. 

We will continue along the HCM trail and stop at springs to relax and then go to visit the ethnic minorities village overnight in Prao town.

Day 6: Prao – Kham Duc 160km

We will then go along the Ho Chi Minh trail, stopping for swimming and relaxing in the waterfall. Then continue into the highlands where you can learn about the Civil War of Vietnam before 1975 as well as enjoy the breath-taking nature of the area,..

Day 7: Kham Duc – Kon tum / Off road / 250km

After morning coffee at the base of the Truong Son Mountain we start our ascent towards Ngoc Hoi. We twist and turn through Ethnic minority villages before breaking through to the border mark of the tripoint between Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia.

 We will motorbike on smooth sealed road through rubber tree plantations plantation, and some off-road then arrive at Kon tum town at 5:00 pm

Day 8: Kon tum – Mang Den via Pleiku / Off Road / 160km

Today’s big challenges for Off-Road ride! is packed with incredible scenery and memorable surprises, as our mountainous route takes us through remote villages where foreign visitors are rare and enthusiastically welcomed. 

Visit rubber plantations and learn what the locals do for a living. Stop at Ede ethnic minority village to experience pleasure with their unique culture, must be the highlight of the trip. You will finish the enjoyable motorbike ride today at about 17:00

Day 9: Mang Den – Quang Ngai 220km

Today’s drive crosses the historic East Ho Chi Minh Trail, through lush forests and past jaw-dropping views of the central Vietnam Mountains. We will visit another village of ethnic minorities where the culture and traditions remain untouched and onto one of the most authentic hill tribes to remain in Vietnam. 

Continuing the adventure on the East HCM trail we traverse through lush forests with beautiful views of the central Vietnam mountains, and just when you thought it couldn’t get any more beautiful, we arrive at a waterfall. Along the way you will see happy children waving to welcome you and while visiting the villages of ethnic minorities you will meet and talk to them.

From here we shall go down a picturesque winding mountain road. We will cap off our day enjoying magical views of the sunset before going to Quang Ngai.

Day 10: Quang Ngai – Hoi An 160km

In the last day, we will visit the My Lai massacre was the Vietnam War mass killing of between 347 and 504 unarmed civilians in South Vietnam on March 16, 1968. 

It was committed by U.S. Then we will go along the coast with many shrimps Lake of local family, stop on the beautiful beach before get the local ferry to small island non-tourist, take another ferry, we continue riding along the coast, Ride through rice field, crossing on floating bridge stop for take beautiful pictures before back to Hoi An
